July Athlete of the Month – Becky “Rebecca” Shattuck

4. Which class do you usually attend? 5:30
5. How long have you been crossfitting? About 3 years
6. What is your favorite and least favorite lift? My favorite would have to be the power clean, my least favorite is the thruster!
7. What is your athletic background? Other than playing some sports when I was younger, I don’t have much of one
8. How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? Where do I begin?!? CrossFit has enhanced just about every part of my life. It has given me so much confidence, made me stronger than I ever thought I could be and I am doing things I never thought I would be able to do!
9. What is your biggest accomplishment so far at CFHT? There are so many! If I had to pick one, I would say it is finally breaking past my 85# snatch. It is a tough lift for me and I was stuck there forever!
10. What are your goals for CF? I always want to get better, faster and stronger.
11. What do you do in your free time? I love spending time with my husband and family, which includes our sweet puppy Lulu.
12. What is your favorite cheat food? There are just too many! I love basically anything with pasta, cheese or bread! Lol
13. Tell us something most people wouldn’t know about you. I am a big recycler! It is something my mom always did when I was little and it stuck. I have been known to take home empty water bottles from work and the box. Crazy I know! Lol
14. Any advice for new members? Stay dedicated. Stay persistent. There will be great days in the box, and there will be bad days. But keep showing up! Every day you will get stronger and all of your hard work WILL pay off!
